2014 Ford Escape Review

The 2014 Ford Escape is a vehicle built for the modern driver. It is both versatile for in the city and in the great outdoors. Come into West Coast Ford Lincoln and check out this beast of an SUV.

The eco-conscious will love the Escape, as the seat cushions and head restraints are partially made from a soy-based polyurethane foam, plus more than 4.5 kg of scrap cotton from jeans, sweaters, T-shirts and other items is used in sound-absorption material throughout every Escape, saving this material from the landfill. The outer appearance is stunning thanks to a prominent trapezoidal-shaped lower grille, sculpted wheel arches, elongated headlamps and taillamps, subtle Z-shaped lines and a spoiler.

The performance of the 2014 Ford Escape is class-leading. It comes with the new EcoBoost engine which is both efficient and powerful. It also comes with a six-speed SelectShift transmission for smooth shifting.

2014 Engines:
2.5L Duratec I-4 : 168 hp and 170 lb.-ft.
1.6L EcoBoost I-4 : 178 hp and 184 lb.-ft.
2.0L EcoBoost I-4 : 240 hp and 270 lb.-ft.

The Escape was named Popular Mechanics Car of the Year and Best New SUV under $35,000 by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada while Motor Trend awarded it 1st place in a five-vehicle comparison test.
