Ford revealed their new Atlas full-size pickup concept at the Detroit Auto Show. Some features of the newly revealed 2014 Ford Atlas include hidden cargo ramps that slide out from under the bed floor and a tailgate step that doubles as a cargo cradle.
With its Built Ford Tough look including big wheel arches and the largest grille design ever seen on an F-150, the Atlas is a sure winner. Probably the largest improvement to this new design is the Ecoboost 3.5L V6 engine with a start-stop system that is “truck enhanced”.
The Atlas concept has been described as an exploration of technologies, fuel-efficiency improvement and capacity advancement. This design is an addition to the F-series pickups that Ford hopes will become a part of their line-up. The F-150 line-up have been the best selling pickups in America for the past 36 years.
