This version of the MKZ is very attractive, especially with the plug-in option and all-wheel drive. I live “south of the border” and haven’t seen the plug-in version of the MKZ for sale here. Is this version available in Canada now? What issues would I face (taxes, environmental regulations, etc.) in buying a car in Canada and bringing it back to the states with me?

    Thanks.

    John

      Hi John,

Unfortunately, the Lincoln MKZ does not come in a plug-in model yet. As far as I know there has been some talk about it; however, Lincoln is waiting to see how the sale take off in the hybrid only model. The Ford fusion energy is a plug-in hybrid model and currently available.

As a Canadian Ford dealer we are not allowed to sell a brand-new Ford or Lincoln vehicles outside of Canada. The buyer must have a Canadian drivers license and the vehicle must be registered in Canada upon delivery.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help with.
